Hunt for a bargain and help heritage Dartmoor ponies

If you’ve got a tack room that’s bursting at the seams, riding clothes you’ve outgrown or horsey treasures gathering dust, now’s the perfect time to give them a new home.

Join us at the Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust’s Equine Car Boot Sale on Friday 31 July 2026 at The Village Hall, Ashcombe, near Dawlish (EX7 0QD) for an evening of bargains, friendly faces and fundraising.

Whether you’re looking for a new saddle pad, a headcollar, riding boots, grooming kit or something completely unexpected, you never know what you’ll discover. One person’s spare tack could be exactly what another rider has been searching for.

Selling?

Seller tables are just £10, making it a great opportunity to clear some space while supporting the work of the Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust.

Sellers can set up from 5.30pm, with buyers welcome from 6.30pm.

Tables must be booked in advance, so if you’d like to sell, please contact Lucy Johnson at lucyjohnson@dpht.co.uk to reserve your space.

Buying?

Bring a friend, enjoy a browse and see what bargains you can find. There’ll be plenty of equestrian items to explore, as well as food and drink available throughout the evening.

Most importantly, every table booked and every purchase made helps support the Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust’s work to protect the future of heritage Dartmoor ponies.
