Local support making a difference
A breakfast in Ashburton, a Friday draw in Bovey Tracey and art inspired by the moor all have something in common. They’re helping support Dartmoor’s heritage ponies.
At Dartmoor Lodge, 50p from every Dartmoor Breakfast goes to DPHT. The Dolphin Hotel raises funds through its Friday meat draw, organised by Paul and his wife, with tickets from 5pm and the draw at 6.30pm.
In Widecombe-in-the-Moor, Sexton’s Gallery supports our work, while artist Virginia Pope contributes through fundraising cards, artwork and her time. Flapjackery supplies prizes for competitions and fundraising activities.
Linoprint artist Mandy Freguard donates a percentage of her sales to DPHT. Her work includes heritage Dartmoor ponies, with prints available through Etsy and Zebediah’s Art and Craft Collective in Launceston.
Each brings something different, united by a wish to help secure a future for heritage Dartmoor ponies and the people who care for them. We’re grateful to them all.
