Malcolm Snelgrove – Ambassador
Malcolm has been a Trustee of the DPHT and was the previous Chair of the DPHT prior to Michael Lithgow. He has a long association with the DPHT becoming involved in 2016. Malcolm now acts as an Ambassador for the DPHT with a focus on assisting with PR and communications as well as an advisor to the Board of Trustees. Malcolm donates his photogprahic skills and time in assisting pony keepers to showcase their multi-generation herds to their best.
Malcolm is an IT consultant and professional photographer whose images of Dartmoor and its ponies have brought him international recognition and acclaim. His initial career was in agriculture, managing a 2000 strong flock of sheep and mixed arable crops in the South Downs. A career change to the IT industry followed and he joined Canon UK. Malcolm moved to Dartmoor 24 years ago, studying the pony herds that graze there with a focus on how ponies help in conservation of the Dartmoor landscape.
