Thank You to Francis Clark
Yesterday at Bellever, in relentless rain, the Francis Clark team joined us for a corporate volunteering day. Together they pulled up 450 conifer saplings at the site we manage for the Forestry Commission. This work is vital, giving space for Dartmoor’s native plants and wildlife to thrive. They also had the opportunity with Geri Skeens, one of our outstanding Moorland Guides, to understand more about the precious landscape around Bellever as well as its historic significance. With one of our Trustees, Paul Pearse and Sam Handfield-Jones our General Manager they also gained greater insight into the work of the DPHT and its contribution to conservation grazing on Dartmoor as well as the vital work that is undertaken to preserve and conserve the Dartmoor Heritage Pony.
It was great meeting the team from Francis Clark and their efforts have really made a difference.
Our corporate days are designed to give businesses a memorable experience. They are active, informative and enjoyable, offering the chance to step away from the office, learn more about Bellever and its heritage ponies, and take part in meaningful conservation.
