Re-Introducing the Heritage Pony Passport

The DPHT have been working closely with the DPS to re-introduce the Heritage Passport for true to type unregistered ponies on the moor. This involves the ponies being inspected as being true to type and included on a register maintained by the DPS. This scheme will recognise the committed work of the Pony Keepers on Dartmoor in maintaining their precious and in some cases rare bloodlines in their multi-generation herds. It also provides individual buyers and Conservation Grazing organisations with assurances of the high quality of Heritage Ponies and a direct link with the Pony Keeper and their herds. The scheme is funded by the DPHT and is voluntary for Pony Keepers to take part. I would like to thank the DPS for their support as we have worked through the details of this scheme as well as providing the judges. Our Heritage Ponies and the Pony Keepers continue to rely on your support to ensure the survivability of these traditional Dartmoor ponies. Please help where you can by either becoming a member or donating.
