Michael Lithgow CBE – Trustee

Michael Lithgow is a Trustee of the DPHT, having previously been chair for 2.5 years and a Trustee for over 4 years. Michael’s interest in Dartmoor Heritage Ponies was a result of his club level participation in carriage-driving where he competed with two Dartmoor ponies. Within the DPHT, he is responsible for development of the business plan, long term financial planning and maintaining relationships with DPHT partners.

Michael has spent 30 years within the millitary in a variety of appointments and on operational deployments during which he was made an MBE and subsequently a CBE as well as being mentioned in dispatches. Upon leaving the Army he joined Gartner, a global technology research and advisory company where he was responsible for Gartner clients in Nordics, UK and South Africa. He currently holds 2 technology related NED roles as well as being a volunteer watchkeeper for the National Coastwatch Institution.
