Michelle Cockburn – Trustee

Michelle joined the DHPT as a Trustee in October 2025.  She has a long-held passion for native ponies, having learnt to ride on a Highland pony aged five, before progressing to a Dartmoor pony.  Since then, she has continued to produce her own native ponies and has successfully competed in a range of disciplines, including County level showing and a handful of national championships, both team and individual.  She is keen to use her extensive membership development experience to maintain the success of the Trust and to help keep the future of the Dartmoor Heritage Pony secure.
