The National Heritage Lottery Fund has awarded DPHT a grant of £58,200 to deliver a project called:-
Saving the Spirit of Dartmoor – turbo-charging the drive to safeguard Dartmoor’s traditional pony herds.
The project will increase the charity’s capacity to deliver its objectives.
Co-ordinated by a Project Manager, the project will work with expert consultants in the areas of:- Fundraising, PR & Communications, Community Outreach and Education. The project will also work with a Website Designer and an ELMS expert.
Activity includes:-
- Developing a Fundraising Strategy, growing DPHT’s membership
- Developing “Calls to Action” and a communications and campaigns strategy
- Designing and launching a new website
- Producing legacy promotion materials
- Identifying and reaching out to the key stakeholders and strategic partners that DPHT needs to work with to achieve its objectives
- Delivering events to engage and involve local communities
- Reviewing services outlined in the Business Plan and how they can be financed
- Working with partner schools and Moorland Guides to create online materials for schools
