Coop Community Fund YR 20/21 Presentation

We are so very grateful to all the COOP Members who chose us as their charity of the year.  Being a COOP member really does provide huge benefit to local communities through charity partnership.

Your support raised a whopping £7820.77.

The cheque was presented by

Manager – Paul – Bovey Straights Garage

Manager – Rob – Fore Street store

Manager – Matt – Liverton/Trago store

This money will be used to support the 270 pupils and their families at Bovey Tracey Primary.

DPHT will provide every pupil and associated parent / grandparent / guardian from the school  the opportunity to a FREE guided walk on Bellever or to our new enhanced Dartmoor Pony Education and Visitor Centre at Parke, commencing in March 2022.

DPHT will provide a 50% subsidy toward the cost of coach travel to Bellever for Years 3,4,5 & 6 enabling some 180 pupils and parents the opportunity to visit the moor, providing education about its landscape, history and future.

Our team of trained guides are able to tie in with curriculum requirements. Bellever has a plethora of Bronze Age monuments, Bellever Tor, flora and fauna to use as teaching prompts.

Dru Butterfield will attend each of the 6 events to speak about the ponies we have on site, peatland restoration and our conservation grazing project.

At the Visitor Centre we will cater for the younger children and parents from Reception class to Year 2.

They can walk to the centre on visits after the Easter holidays.
