FREE GUIDED WALKS
Our team of qualified Moorland Guides are delighted to offer walks at Bellever FREE to groups of 6+
Enjoy a great family/group walk at Bellever to experience the wonders of Dartmoor – flora, fauna, history, archaeology, wildlife – and especially ponies!
All special walks must be pre-booked – please contact DPHT 01626 833234 or email admin@dpht.co.uk
Walks are taken at a steady pace. The terrain is partly tracks and roads, partly moorland and forestry, so good, waterproof footwear and warm, windproof/waterproof clothes, over several layers, plus an appropriate hat for the weather are all advised! Sun cream when sunny and windy too. Please bring refreshments.
Meeting Point unless stated otherwise is Bellever Forest at Postbridge car park
(SX646 788). Not the Visitor Centre car park but across the road in the woods.
Dogs allowed – on leads only.
Themed walks are also scheduled through the year. Please see our NEWS page for updates and details on how to book.
Education and information are an important part of our work to safeguard the future of the ponies on Dartmoor. We welcome schools, groups and families to our heritage site at Bellever Forest on Dartmoor.
