Our team of qualified DPHT Guides are delighted to offer walks at Bellever FREE to groups of 6+
Enjoy a great family/group walk at Bellever to experience the wonders of Dartmoor – flora, fauna, history, archaeology, wildlife – and especially ponies!

Walks are taken at a steady pace. The terrain is partly tracks and roads, partly moorland and forestry, so good, waterproof footwear and warm, windproof/waterproof clothes, over several layers, plus an appropriate hat for the weather are all advised! Sun cream when sunny and windy too. Please bring refreshments.
Meeting Point unless stated otherwise is Bellever Forest at Postbridge car park
(SX646 788). Not the Visitor Centre car park but across the road in the woods.
Dogs allowed – on leads only.
Themed walks (small charge) are also scheduled through the year.

Education and information are an important part of our work to safeguard the future of the ponies on Dartmoor. We welcome schools, groups and families to our heritage site at Bellever Forest on Dartmoor.

Meeting Point: Postbridge visitor centre car park. Duration: 4 miles 2 ½ hrs. Start 7.30pm
This walk will give you chance walk in the dark on Dartmoor. We hopefully be walking in the moonlight , so bring a torch and a drink. We will learn about many legends on Dartmoor as we wander up to Bellever Tor
Suitable for age 7+ Maximum group 20
